The Stewards were unable to reach a real decision, so they reached a fictional one instead:

Decision The Stewards confirm that "rolled the car several times into a ditch" and "continued competing thirty minutes later" have both been logged as part of the same, entirely ordinary Saturday. Evans is commended for treating a serious off-road excursion with the emotional register most people reserve for missing a highway exit, and reminded that the championship does not currently include a category for "most convincing recovery from a ditch" — though perhaps it should.
